OGDEN- A fire broke out around 2 pm yesterday due to a grease fire in Pedro’s Mexican Restaurant on the corner of 21st Street and Washington Blvd. The restaurant was located on the bottom floor of an apartment building.
The owner of the restaurant, Pedro Sanchez, was in the kitchen at the time of the fire. His brother Miguel Sanchez and his 2 daughters Maria Del Mar, who is 4, and Mercedes, who is 2 were in the apartment above the restaurant. Miguel was treated at the scene Deputy Fire Chief Greg Chamberlain stated, and the 2 girls were transported to McKay-Dee hospital.
Friends of Pedro told him that they would help him rebuild the restaurant. Rachel Calhoun, who owns the apartment building, would not comment to us at this time on how she is going to handle the rest of the damage to the building.
Pedro claimed he had legal citizenship in the United States. His brother Miguel is waiting on his legal work papers.

That's good that you have all the essential facts. You might also want to mention Michael Freeman, who was also in the restaurant and was the one that called the fire department. Also, when writing a news story, when writing single-digit numbers, make sure you write "two" or "four," rather than "2" or "4."
Regan-
You did a wonderful job! This PNS was clear and easy to understand what happened. You covered the details very well. Good job!
